The Pop Art Museum opened in 2019 and is part of the local nonprofit Art in Uncommon Places mission to keep San Angelo weird. It salutes the "people's art" in a former bowling alley with no roof. You will find an eye-opening homage to the pop art mastered by Andy Warhol and Peter Max during the 1960s. Its comedic appeal satirizes popular culture while crossing socioeconomic boundaries. More than 30 local artists contributed incredibly creative panels illustrating the deep reservoir of talent in our West Texas town.
